Tanis Alia and Mandi Jarry make up the duo DOLLSHAY.
They have been performing live around Sydney venues for the past 5 years.
In February 1999 they auditioned and were chosen from Australia to appear on the series "Starstruck" on Channel 9. Dollshay also won the Northies Cronulla Duo Comp. in 2002. Since then they have gained residencies in many venues around Sydney and have had great feedback and praise from wide audiences.
Mandi and Tanis went to school together, growing up on the Northern beaches. They attended The Forest High School, known for its musical success. Both girls play guitar and other individual instruments such as piano, flute, Irish Tin Whistle, piccolo, mandolin and harmonica. With a rich 'folky' blend of harmonies and melodies DOLLSHAY have a unique sound that is unforgettable. They have been compared to Jewel, Alanis Morrisset and
The Waifs and classify their music as "Folk-Pop".
Tanis and Mandi both perform in their own original bands and have been involved with many big cover bands around Sydney such as Tasty, Austin Powers, Party Ireland, Rock. Now etc… |
